Chicago this time... We were only there for a day and it POURED RAIN! So I couldn't take much in the way of photos, but I bought postcards instead...
Left Side:In the morning we ventured forth in search of the Sears Tower
and it's 110 storey view. We didn't actually get there because we got
lost. But we were astounded to discover that less than a block from our
dingy hotel was a bright and bustling metropolis and the Golden Mile -
swishest shopping street in Chicago.
Alas the weather was not our friend. It poured rain and we sought
shelter in the Terra Museum of American Art. They had a totally
fascinating exhibit on Americans at Work, and better yet, admission was
free. What would Chicao be without pizza? So we ended the day with a
delicious Chicago-style pizza at a pizzeria near the museum. Mmmm!
Right Side:I didn't want to risk either of the cameras in Chicago's
incredibly wet weather (and it was too grey to bother) so I left them in
the hotel and collected some postcards for posterity instead. Funny -
the Chicago we saw was NOTHING like them weather-wise!

Valentine's Album
|
|
|
This is the miniature scrapbook (6 inches square) I made for my fiance for Valentine's Day using some photos that were taken on our last day together (sniff) and showing off lots of different scrapbooking techniques... he said it was the second-best gift he's ever received - and when I asked him what the best was, he said the best gift was ME! (blushes) He's so sweet to me...

Last scrapbook pages for now...
|
|
This is all I've got finished. These four pages were taken at the Allen Conservatory in Toronto. It's full of absolutely beautiful flowers and plants! I could have stayed there all day and used a dozen rolls of film on them, but I restricted myself to two, and used the best photos in here. (there are no digital photos of the conservatory because it was very humid and I didn't want to fog it up...)

I loved this place so much that it got five scrapbook pages all to itself! I used up a whole roll of film and almost all the photos came out magnificently, and that's not to mention the whole memory card of digital pics I took too! (I'll post them soon...)

I got very sidetracked and entirely forgot about the ongoing photo project... I'll get back to it as soon as I can. I really do love photography and sharing my pics - I've just been concentrating on my scrapbook instead of working with the digital images! And here's a couple of my pages to help console you for waiting so long.
