Back to my USA scrapbook

We went to the Terra Art Gallery on Madison Ave
I made a postcard booklet
to hold all the postcards I bought...
the first booklet page (I didn't scan all the of them)
Chicago this time... We were only there for a day and it POURED RAIN! So I couldn't take much in the way of photos, but I bought postcards instead...

Left Side:In the morning we ventured forth in search of the Sears Tower
and it's 110 storey view. We didn't actually get there because we got
lost. But we were astounded to discover that less than a block from our
dingy hotel was a bright and bustling metropolis and the Golden Mile -
swishest shopping street in Chicago.
Alas the weather was not our friend. It poured rain and we sought
shelter in the Terra Museum of American Art. They had a totally
fascinating exhibit on Americans at Work, and better yet, admission was
free. What would Chicao be without pizza? So we ended the day with a
delicious Chicago-style pizza at a pizzeria near the museum. Mmmm!

Right Side:I didn't want to risk either of the cameras in Chicago's
incredibly wet weather (and it was too grey to bother) so I left them in
the hotel and collected some postcards for posterity instead. Funny -
the Chicago we saw was NOTHING like them weather-wise!

Hi!, BEATIFUL FOTOPAGE.I hope your visit in my fotopage. Thu 3-Jun-2004 23:59

This is the miniature scrapbook (6 inches square) I made for my fiance for Valentine's Day using some photos that were taken on our last day together (sniff) and showing off lots of different scrapbooking techniques... he said it was the second-best gift he's ever received - and when I asked him what the best was, he said the best gift was ME! (blushes) He's so sweet to me...

Awww that is super cute! Take care! Angelxxx Fri 20-Feb-2004 18:20

This is all I've got finished. These four pages were taken at the Allen Conservatory in Toronto. It's full of absolutely beautiful flowers and plants! I could have stayed there all day and used a dozen rolls of film on them, but I restricted myself to two, and used the best photos in here. (there are no digital photos of the conservatory because it was very humid and I didn't want to fog it up...)

Oh more nice pictures! Pretty and colorful!!! Take care! Angelxxx Sun 1-Feb-2004 18:57

Here's the next installment of scrapbook pages. Hope you like them!

That's lovely! I wish I could do such things, unfortunately I haven't got enough pictures and haven't visited enough places to do so, and I have no talent and usually when I have a project, I get all excited about it at first and then when I start I lose the motivation....grrrr....I hope to see more of the US in the future cos it seems like there are so many awesome places! Take care! Angelxxx Fri 30-Jan-2004 19:20

I loved this place so much that it got five scrapbook pages all to itself! I used up a whole roll of film and almost all the photos came out magnificently, and that's not to mention the whole memory card of digital pics I took too! (I'll post them soon...)

Nice to have you back... Sun 1-Feb-2004 04:05

I got very sidetracked and entirely forgot about the ongoing photo project... I'll get back to it as soon as I can. I really do love photography and sharing my pics - I've just been concentrating on my scrapbook instead of working with the digital images! And here's a couple of my pages to help console you for waiting so long.

wow those are amazingly beautiful. I hope to get the chance to go see some other states sometime, because I would love that, there are so many beautiful places that I haven't seen and would like to see. Good job Karen! Take care *hugs* Angelxxx Wed 28-Jan-2004 20:43

The pictures you post are always so gorgeous, and I like how they make me visit some places all over the US that I haven't seen (haven't seen anything else than the area where we live in FL actually). You are talented with photography, you know how to take pictures of things and what to take. My mom asked me why i didn't take pics of the places where we go to show her what it looks like...and I was "hmmm well I dunno what to take in pictures", should I take random buildings and pictures of the mall and stuffs? I think this time around I will carry my digital camera everywhere and take pics from the car as we drive. HEHE. So I think then I'll post more pictures on my fotopage.
Well take care sweetie and keep posting those cos they are lovely.
Lots of Friendship Love and Hugs!
